IHHT Training

In IHHT Training (Intermittent Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Training), the body is alternately exposed to reduced oxygen supply (hypoxia) and increased oxygen supply (hyperoxia). These alternating stimuli promote cellular regeneration, with mitochondria — the energy centers and fat-burning hubs of our cells—responding particularly positively. Studies show a wide range of benefits, including enhanced performance (e.g., in sports), improved respiratory function, optimized cellular metabolism, and more efficient liver energy production. The therapy can also help regulate blood pressure and reduce stress hormones.
Potential benefits of IHHT Training

IHHT Training at a glance
The metabolic training is based on the alternating intake of very low or very high oxygen levels, creating a state of oxygen deficiency (hypoxia) or oxygen surplus (hyperoxia) in the body. This simulates conditions of high-altitude training, helping the metabolism adapt to different stress levels. Hypoxia triggers beneficial cardiovascular adaptations, while hyperoxia stimulates mitochondrial activity.
Positive effects on heart and circulation
Boosts metabolism and supports weight management
Strengthens lung health
Improves oxygen utilization in the body
Increases physical performance and endurance
Your first session begins with a brief consultation to assess your health goals and current condition.
A single session lasts around 40 to 50 minutes in a relaxed lying position. You will wear an oxygen mask that alternates between low and high oxygen concentrations—similar to repeatedly changing between altitudes of 0 and 4000 meters.
The treatment is entirely stress-free and requires no physical effort.
IHHT improves circulation and stimulates the formation of new mitochondria, positively impacting metabolism.
The targeted oxygen deprivation in hypoxia supports fat burning, encouraging the body to mobilize long-term fat stores, making weight management easier.
Improved oxygen supply, respiration, and lung function are directly linked, with IHHT promoting vascular growth that benefits the lungs.
Physical performance relies on sufficient oxygen delivery to the muscles and a high number of mitochondria—IHHT has a positive influence on both.

What our clients say
"I never imagined that just an hour of breathing could have such a powerful effect on my stress and energy levels."
"I discovered IHHT during a vacation at Lanserhof. Since the doctors recommended it there, I’ve continued the sessions at home."
